Johnson & Legba
I am sitting on my friends porch in Memphis, TN. There is a big storm brewing in the sky. The thunder is loud and the lightening is bright.
A thunderstorm in November. This really is the longest summer of our lives. The wind has picked up and it is starting to rain.
We bought our first 2 pieces of original art today.
Two pieces by Lamar Sorrento of Memphis, TN.
One is of Bob Dylan and the other is of Robert Johnson and Legba. Legba is the keeper of the crossroads between the worlds. In this painting Legba is handing Robert Johnson a guitar.
It feels really good to finally have some art for our apartment.
We will be home a week from tomorrow and then we will hang our new art.
On another note, we are tirelessly planning the release of ‘Highway Prayer’ . The date is set in Canada for January 29, 2008. We are posting new tour dates all the time so check back often.
We are also going to be releasing a limited edition 7”/45 with Viva la Vinyl & Highway Prayer. We are only printing 500 of these babies so pre-order them now!
